My work in a nutshell.

PL Catalog

Professional Learning Course Catalog

As a Professional Learning Designer with MIND Education, I improved the structure and visual appeal of the ST Math Professional Learning Catalog. In addition to adding imagery to convey learning experiences, I established a multi-phase learning pathway with suggestions to strengthen a district's implementation and usage, increasing the likelihood of renewal and product add-ons.

The catalog includes the workshops I developed and strengthened through ongoing feedback processes and formal annual updates.

Accessible & Engaging
Professional Learning Workshops

In the course of developing workshops for on-site and virtual delivery modes, I have grown in my ability to apply strategies to support a range of adult learners. In addition to developing and improving content, I have adjusted the brand colors and minimum text size guidelines for increased readability. Additionally, I added directions for interactive tasks to the slide, workshop agenda, and script notes for easy presenter copy/paste for webinar chats.

Because the workshop decks are used by many different presenters and can require customization, I developed slide deck and agenda style guides with tips for support to maintain consistency across the organization.

PL Agenda Style Guide

In some cases, I've collaborated with district partners to develop a conference session. "Let's Give them Something to Talk About" was created in partnership with a teacher and instructional coach and presented at the Conference for the Advancement of Mathematics Teaching in Fort Worth, TX.  It makes use of Slido to engage 100+ participants and gather responses to questions.

Continuous Learning

I love to know the "whys" associated with the work I undertake. Inevitably, the "whys" lead to learning and innovation sessions aiming to improve a system or product. One of my learning endeavors involved growing my understanding and experience in UI/UX design. In one of my foundational courses, I learned the process of site mapping and wireframing and applied it to my idea for an adaptive spelling practice app that automatically collects words from those that are repeatedly autocorrected.

QUEST Program Details - with links_Page_01.png

In my role as Curriculum Coordinator at E.A. Young Academy, I revitalized the school's QUEST program for grades K-8 by establishing a framework, developing standards aligned with those of the National Association for Gifted Children, and curating age-appropriate activities that promote an understanding of self and the world, critical thinking, and research skills.
